Draft Terms of Use

Not the final terms. This draft describes the current product but remains pending operator identity details and legal review. Draft updated July 30, 2026.

1. Acceptance and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By creating an account or using Sổ Tiệm, you confirm that you can agree to the applicable terms for yourself or that you are authorized to bind the business you represent. The legal identity of the service provider must still be completed before final Terms take effect.

2. Accounts and roles

You must provide accurate information, protect your email and sign-in session, and report suspected unauthorized access. Salon owners manage the salon, members, services and salon data. Workers access only records connected to them. Studio is a private workspace for an independent operator. The current product does not offer a separately advertised manager or receptionist role with independent permissions.

3. Responsibility for data

You are responsible for the legality, accuracy and authority to enter customer, technician, service, ticket, tip, booking, expense and document data. You must have appropriate consent before sending marketing email or messages and must honor opt-outs and suppression. Do not enter card numbers, SIN/SSNs, full tax identifiers, passwords or unnecessary sensitive data.

4. Booking and customers

Owner Pro and Studio Pro can open public booking after configuring services, booking workers and business hours. Sổ Tiệm checks conflicts at the server boundary, but the operator is responsible for accurate availability, services, prices, policies and contact information. Sổ Tiệm does not collect booking payment or deposits, does not provide booking SMS and does not synchronize two ways with external calendars. The salon or Studio is responsible for performing services, rescheduling, cancellation and customer resolution.

5. Technician shares and payout records

Sổ Tiệm is a salon recordkeeping tool. Technician-share, tip, adjustment and payout amounts reflect data and rules entered or confirmed by users. Sổ Tiệm is not payroll; it does not decide employee or contractor status; calculate or file tax, CPP, EI, overtime, vacation pay or statutory deductions; or provide accounting, tax or legal advice. Salon owners and technicians must review records and use appropriate professional advice.

6. Free, Pro and usage limits

Limits that create operating cost or security exposure are enforced at the server boundary. Current prices and features appear on the pricing and upgrade screens. Sổ Tiệm will give at least 30 days’ notice before a paid-plan price change affects an existing subscription, and the change will apply no earlier than the next renewal after that notice period. Applicable sales tax, if any, remains subject to the final tax configuration and will be shown before payment.

7. Subscriptions, renewal, cancellation and refunds

Paid subscriptions use Stripe Checkout and renew on the displayed cycle until cancelled. Owner Pro and Studio Pro are monthly; Worker Pro has monthly and annual options. Authorized users can open the Stripe Billing Portal from Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, with Pro access continuing until that date. There is no automatic partial-period credit, refund or mid-cycle change between Worker Pro and Studio Pro; cancel the current personal subscription, retain access through its period end, and start the other plan afterward. Owner Pro is billed separately per salon. A failed payment may place access in a temporary grace state only through the current paid-through date; Free limits apply after that date unless payment succeeds.

Each eligible user or salon may claim one 30-day Pro trial for the applicable product without a card; the trial does not automatically convert to paid service. Refund requests must be sent within 30 days of the charge. Sổ Tiệm will refund a confirmed duplicate or incorrect charge or another billing error caused by Sổ Tiệm or Stripe. Other refunds are not automatic and are provided only when required by applicable law. These rules do not limit statutory rights. Cancelling does not delete records; Free limits apply to advanced reports after Pro ends, while the portable JSON export remains available on Free.

8. Export, deletion and leaving the service

Every account, including Free, can download one portable JSON file containing permitted account data, owned salons, technician history and private Studio records. Advanced financial-report exports still follow plan limits. You can also submit a privacy request from the app. Exports are records, not completed payroll, tax filings or accountant certification. Some history may be anonymized instead of erased when necessary to preserve ticket, payout or audit integrity. Before leaving, download needed data and safely resolve pending offline operations.

9. Acceptable use

You must not access another person’s data; bypass RLS or server authorization; guess, collect or share tokens; fabricate percentages, rules or identities; send spam; upload malware; disrupt the service; conduct harmful testing; infringe intellectual property; or use Sổ Tiệm for illegal activity. Security research must follow the responsible-disclosure instructions.

10. User content

You retain rights in data you enter. You permit Sổ Tiệm and its service providers to process that data as needed to provide, secure, support and improve the service. You must have the right to upload logos, images, receipts and other content.

11. Suspension, changes and availability

Sổ Tiệm may restrict an account or feature when needed to address fraud, a violation, security risk, legal request or operational incident. Features may change or stop with appropriate notice where practical. The service depends on internet access and providers such as Supabase, Stripe, Resend and Netlify; uninterrupted availability is not promised.

12. Disclaimers and liability terms requiring legal review

The product is offered as available and is a recordkeeping tool, not a professional service. Warranty disclaimer, liability cap, indemnity, governing law, venue and dispute-process wording have not been decided. Those terms will not be presented as binding until the owner supplies the required facts and legal counsel confirms them.
